In the field of color psychology, it is believed that our favorite colors have a positive effect on our physical and mental health, making it easier for us to perform at our best.

One of the most common problems that the children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have is “hyper-perception”. In this case, too much stimulation from the environment, such as sound or skin contact, is interfering with their lives. Research has shown that this is also the case with color preference; ASD children were significantly less likely than typically-developing (TD) children to prefer yellow and more likely than TD children to prefer green and brown colours.

At AKIDS Labs, we place great importance on taking into consideration the various people with diverse color vision. The AKIDS logo was scrutinized to ensure that the color design would be ASD friendly.

At the same time, AKIDS has made a commitment to society to “maximize the potential of children and create a new world in which all children can play an active role,” and has identified “3, 4, and 17” as key issues in its goal to achieve a sustainable and prosperous world (SDGs).
