2024年10月に開催された日本児童青年精神医学会総会の特別企画にて、画家・石村嘉成さんの活動を知りました。石村さんは２歳で発達障がい（自閉症）と診断され、療育を通じて生活の自立を確立されました。現在、国内外で高く評価される作品を発表し続けておられます。自身の感覚や記憶を鮮やかに描き出すその作品に心を打たれ、後日、兵庫県立美術館で開催されていた展覧会にも足を運びました。

展示室には、動物たちのいきいきとした姿や、繊細かつダイナミックな色彩が広がり、石村さんの「世界のとらえ方」に触れることができる空間でした。一枚一枚の絵に込められたエネルギーと、日常では見落としがちな感覚へのまなざしが、支援に携わる私たちにも多くの気づきを与えてくれました。
AKIDSラボでは、子どもたち一人ひとりの感じ方や表現のあり方を大切にした支援を、今後も探究していきたいと思います。
At the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, we learned about artist Yoshinari Ishimura, who was diagnosed with autism at age two and has since gained recognition for his expressive artwork.
Moved by his vivid depictions of sensory experiences, we later visited his exhibition at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art. His dynamic use of color and energy offered powerful insight into his unique worldview.
At AKIDS Lab, we are inspired to continue supporting each child’s individual way of feeling and expressing, valuing diversity in perception and creativity.
